Khan Academy Style Videos
How to make Khan Academy style videos for your online courses using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), SmoothDraw3, affordable Android drawing tablet and narration with microphone. Webcam is optional.

- Free Download: OBS Studio for Windows, Ubuntu or masOC (10.15 and newer)
- Free download: SmoothDraw 3
- Free download: SmoothDraw black background template
- An affordable Android Drawing Tablet - link to an Amazon price comparison tool.
- A built-in or external microphone, and webcam (optional)
- OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is one of the most popular programs available to help users record videos from their computer screen.
- SmoothDraw is a lightweight, easy to operate hand drawing software used by artists and educators.
The steps to start teaching with screen share.
- Plug in Android drawing tablet to your computer to use with SmoothDraw.
- They should be "plug and play" with no need to install software or drivers.
- Download, install OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)
- Open OBS and click on 'Settings'.
- Choose the 'Audio' tab and add an 'Input Capture' source.
- Select your internal or external microphone from the drop-down list.
- Choose the 'Video' tab and add a 'Video Capture Device' source.
- Select your webcam from the drop-down list (optional)
- Click 'Start Recording' to begin recording your video.
- Teach!
- When you are done recording, click 'Stop Recording' to save the video to your computer.
- For Windows users, videos are saved, by default, to your Videos folder.
- You can change the directory in OBS settings.
